I spent a day experimenting with different watercolor background techniques. I used Stampin Up inks and Distress inks as well as shimmery cardstock and watercolor paper. I tried putting ink onto my craft mat and spritzing with water and then running the paper through it (that is the technique used in the photo). I also put ink directly onto an acrylic block and spritzed that with water. When that was pressed onto the paper a neat rectangular stripe was created (my acrylic block was rectangular). I decided to use the backgrounds to make different cards. Since no two backgrounds are the same, each card is truly unique.
